The day has come and we encourage all people who seek JUSTICE FOR KAYLA to be in the courtroom. YES... I have checked...we are permitted and encouraged to be there.

I will be there. Thanks for checking, Mrs. P--never been to one of these before, so I wasn't sure if they were open to the public.

I have been to court as a witness, but never as an observer. I hope to God that Susanna, Brian and the Judge look out into the courtroom and see Kayla in ever one of our faces.

It's a bad day and a bad time but our being there, in strong numbers, will bespeak the feelings of many Philadelphians.

Be respectful, dress well, we will be standing before Justice.

Remember what people see in us, will reflect Kayla herself. There will be media coverage I am certain, so let's speek well too! Our words, these days, are Kayla's words. Our voice is Kayla's voice.

I am happy to know that Kayla's supporters will be in the courtroom on Wed. Unfortunately, I have to work or else I would be there. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Anyone who can't make it to the courtroom can still play a major part in the hearing. Begin contacting the media...tell them you can't be there, and why (e.g. work, school, health, out of state)...request coverage so you can be follow the events as they unfold. Cut, paste and go will hook you up with the television stations:

At 4:30 today I got a call from Cathie Abookire of the DA"S Office. Cathie said that on Wednesday, it will be announced that the preliminary hearing is going to be continued. As soon as I get the date to which the hearing will be continued I will post it. If anyone hears the date befor I do...please post it. Thanks.

Why is this case being 'continued"? Is is because the DA's office needs to gather more evidence against the monster, or is it becasue the monster's lawyer is going to try and drag this out with lenghty B.S. delays?

I spoke with a representative of the DA's Office early this morning. The request for the preliminary hearing being continued comes from the DA. It is my understanding that the DA wants the Grand Jury Conclusions. Note well: Susanna still has to go to court tomorrow to hear that the case is being continued. Watch the news...I am certain all of Philly wants to see how she and Brian are looking these days!!!!!

I saw that photo of Kayla in last week's Review, where she's wearing the Mickey Mouse sweatshirt. Nice touch, wherever that photo came from. Now THAT I'd make a sticker of -- side-by-side photos of Kayla and SG in their Mickey Mouse regalia. Were I truly bitchy, I'd suggest all the Hallahan girls show up at court wearing their uniforms with Mickey Mouse sweatshirts on over top.

Yo Mamaq...how bout that, me too! With the preliminary hearing continued the girls of Hallahan High will be in school, and perhaps, if allowed...attend the prelim in their traditional school uniforms. If it wouldn't be considered disrespect toward Justice, I would even like that little mascot girl from Hallahan High to sit in the courtroom in her Mickey costume....taking notes, of course

are people coming to the hearing tommorrow or not then? I would like to go if so, but I'm not going down there at 8 a.m. if it's continued.

Mrs. P said...

We are NOT going tomorrow...WEDNESDAY!

mamaq - I don't think you idea is bitchy in any way. It actually would be a sign of solidarity and support. And I am certain that once the HH girls see this post, someone will go to to the principal and secure a 'late arrival' permission for the day that the monster has to go to court, so that the family of Hallahan can represent Kayla in court. I think it would also be a good idea if everyone else who will be able to attend, wear their MM shirts to court (everyone has at least one in the closet) and still look respectful.
No doubt that Donna will come up with some more & better ideas of how to represent Kayla in court.
Perhaps even take a list of names of people who want to be there, but for various reasons, cannot attend. Just throwing some ideas out there............

Any word on the new date for Goihman's hearing? I checked the Philadelphia courts website, and the hearing is still listed for the original date (8/31).

I just checked the district attorney's website, and here's the latest re: Goihman's hearing:

***UPDATE---SUSANNA GOIHMAN---WILL BE CONTINUED TO 9/13/05 FOR STATUS IN CJC 306***---PRELIMINARY HEARING--- JUDGE JOSEPH C. BRUNO---“B” COURT, 1801 VINE STREET---9AM—--CHARGED WITH LEAVING THE SCENE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT, INVOLVING THE DEATH OF 15-YEAR-OLD KAYLA PETER ON JUNE 19, 2005 ON RIDGE AVENUE NEAR SCHOOL HOUSE LANE IN EAST FALLS.
ADA MARK GILSON 686-8039

I'm marking my calendar.

You know what's so annoying? I had to take Queen Ln today coming off the expressway/rt1 and of course was the lucky car to be stopped in line at the light right infront of Goihman's driveway. She's got the trash out, looks like she did some gardening/landscaping maintenance, that car she left jail in was in the parking lot with another car...not to mention it's a BEAUTIFUL day, and she get's to enjoy it and not Kayla, while all the students are heading back to school and the neighborhood is buzzing with children. I hope the DA is picking up every trash bag that comes out of the woman's house. Nothing is more frustrating then seeing that lady allowed to wake up in a nice house with probably extravagant/comfy linens spending quality time with family...what a shame, and absolute shame.
